Prepare technical evidence for your cyber-insurance review.
Bring the technical questions that are difficult to substantiate. AskBuc checks the actual environment and current evidence, separates control gaps from documentation gaps, and can implement approved remediation before preparing a dated evidence handoff.

Choose the work you need—not an all-in-one commitment.
Assess. Current-state findings, evidence gaps, priorities and a recommended scope.
Remediate. Approved implementation, testing, documentation and an evidence handoff.
Maintain. Scheduled patching, reviews, coverage checks, routine fixes, reporting and agreed operational support.
Assessments identify the work. Remediation projects establish or materially improve the controls. Ongoing services maintain the agreed environment. Each engagement has its own scope, responsibilities, deliverables and pricing.
Purchase one engagement or combine them. Routine corrections can be covered by the operating agreement; substantial inherited backlogs, new deployments and architecture changes need explicit approval and scope.
Assess. Review the actual environment and evidence within an authorized scope.
Prioritize. Separate missing controls from missing proof; assign risk, dependencies and owners.
Fix. Implement approved changes with a change plan and recovery options.
Verify. Test the technical results and document completed work, limits and exceptions.
Maintain. Assign ongoing ownership and maintain only the controls covered by the agreement.
Selectable workstreams, not automatic inclusions. Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland on-site work and remote delivery are arranged by scope.
Review the actual questions and system scope.
Work from the authorized questionnaire or requirements—not an invented universal checklist. Map the answers to relevant systems, users, devices, services, operating owners and current evidence. Entra/Azure use does not imply Exchange Online mailboxes; inbound and outbound mail services are identified separately.
AskBuc's role is technical assessment, implementation and evidence support. Insurance professionals and carriers handle policy interpretation, underwriting, coverage and claims decisions. No approval, lower premium, paid claim, certification or particular score is promised.
Separate the missing control from the missing proof.
A control can be missing, present without sufficient current documentation, supported only by stale evidence or not applicable to the environment. We identify these statuses explicitly rather than asserting an answer the systems cannot support.
Selected review areas can include identity/MFA and privileged access, patch/vulnerability coverage, endpoint protection, email/domain controls, logging/retention, backup restoration evidence and incident-readiness procedures. See the technical security workstreams.
Prepare a dated evidence index and exceptions register.
Connect each technical requirement to its affected systems, current configuration/evidence, responsible owner, approval, change record, test method/result, date and exceptions. The completed-work summary identifies tested-versus-untested boundaries and any remaining questions for the authorized reviewer.
Log collection begins on a recorded date; expired history cannot be recreated. An installed management agent is not protection evidence. Backup-job success or replication does not establish application recovery. Technical verification is separate from the carrier's or external assessor's acceptance.
For your business. For agencies and IT providers.
For your business: begin with the affected systems and a non-sensitive summary of the questionnaire or renewal questions. Discuss technical insurance readiness.
For agencies and IT providers: agree client ownership, communication, authorized access, confidentiality, technical delivery and evidence handoff. Provider-facing, co-managed or agreed white-label delivery is confirmed per engagement, not presumed from an inquiry. Discuss a Partner Engagement · Explore the existing partner-delivery page.
Maintain selected controls—not a blanket promise.
A separately defined ongoing agreement can maintain covered controls, routine corrections and current evidence through scheduled patching/reviews, coverage checks, reporting and agreed support. You may keep your incumbent provider; ongoing services are not a compulsory follow-on purchase.
Assessments identify the work. Remediation projects establish or materially improve the controls. Ongoing services maintain the agreed environment. Each engagement has its own scope, responsibilities, deliverables and pricing.
Start with a non-sensitive summary—not a report upload. Do not submit credentials, confidential exports, sensitive personal records or full assessment reports. Secure exchange is arranged after authorization and scope. An NDA alone does not authorize access, scanning or changes.
An inquiry starts scoping—not a purchase, appointment confirmation or permission to test. Northwest Indiana/Chicagoland on-site work and remote delivery are arranged by scope.
Practical questions before we start.
Can we keep our existing MSP or internal IT team?
Yes. Standalone projects and co-managed engineering can work beside your current provider or internal team. We agree access, communication, change authority, evidence handoff and responsibility before delivery.
Do we need to buy ongoing support after a project?
No. An assessment, remediation project and ongoing service can be purchased independently. After a project, ownership can return to your team or provider, or selected controls can move into a separately defined operating agreement.
What evidence do you provide after a fix?
The agreed deliverables identify the affected systems, owner, approval, change record, verification method and result, date, exceptions and ongoing owner. We distinguish technical verification from acceptance by an insurer or external reviewer, and never describe untested work as completed.
Does a technical assessment guarantee certification or insurance coverage?
No. AskBuc provides technical assessment, implementation and evidence support—not statutory audit opinions, SOC 2 reports, accredited certifications or insurer approval. Insurance professionals and carriers decide policy interpretation, underwriting, coverage and claims; independent reviewers decide acceptance.
How do we share a confidential report securely?
Do not upload or paste a full report, credentials, confidential exports or sensitive records into this public site. Start with a high-level inquiry. We agree a suitable secure exchange after authorization and scope; an NDA alone does not authorize system access, scanning or changes.
