Keep your team. Add the engineering they need.
Your internal team should not have to cover every specialty or carry every major project alone. Ask Buc adds focused engineering and operating capacity without assuming control of the responsibilities your team already owns.

When co-managed IT fits
Use co-managed support when the team knows what needs doing but lacks the available time or specialist depth. Common starting points include a migration backlog, unreliable infrastructure, difficult escalations, outdated documentation and a project that has stopped moving.
A project-only engagement is also available. You do not need to replace your current provider or buy a full outsourced help desk to bring us in.
The work we can take on
Microsoft 365 and Exchange migration engineering; Active Directory remediation; server and storage work; virtualization; network and firewall changes; backup validation; recovery planning; technical documentation; and coordination of complex implementation work.
The operating agreement identifies recurring work. Major migrations, additional sites, material remediation and specialist incident response are separate unless expressly included.
One environment. One responsibility map.
Before work begins, we establish who monitors, who approves, who changes systems, who communicates with users and who handles escalation. We identify the existing tools and records rather than introduce a second uncontrolled management stack.
Your service owner retains business priorities and approval authority. Ask Buc owns the work assigned in the agreement. Shared access is limited to the required systems and privileges.
What you receive
A documented work backlog, priority and dependency review, agreed engineering allocation, change records, delivery evidence and a next-action register. The engagement also identifies support hours, escalation routes, review cadence and items that require a separate proposal.
This turns "help us with IT" into a defined operating relationship that both teams can manage.
A practical onboarding sequence
Establish: confirm people, systems, contracts, access and the immediate risk list.
Prioritize: distinguish critical remediation from improvement work and agree the first deliverables.
Execute: complete authorized engineering work in the agreed windows with testing and recovery considerations.
Review: document completed changes, unresolved dependencies and the next allocation of work.
The sequence is a starting model, not a promise that an unknown environment can be fully remediated in 30 days.
Proof behind the approach
The published Windows Server migration record shows how infrastructure remediation, production validation and controlled cutover fit together. It is an example of completed Ask Buc work, not a claim that every engagement has the same scope or result.
Questions buyers ask
Will you replace our IT manager? No. A co-managed agreement identifies the work Ask Buc performs alongside the existing team.
Does the monthly engagement include unlimited engineering? No. Reserved capacity and covered work are defined so that priorities and costs remain manageable.
Is after-hours response included? Only when included in the service schedule and supported by the agreed delivery arrangements.
How is it priced? Around the required capacity, covered environment, responsibilities, technical condition and service window. The proposal separates recurring work from projects and third-party costs.
